The MUA will tomorrow show solidarity with Geelong workers and join them in their jobs rally.

Geelong Trades Hall Council Secretary Tim Gooden said the rally was a public display of concern about job losses and the lack of government commitment in the wake of the Alcoa announcement.
"We need new manufacturing jobs and we need them now," Gooden said."
"No dedicated funding has been forthcoming from Alcoa or the federal and state governments since Alcoa announced its closure six weeks ago."
MUA Victoria Branch Secretary Kevin Bracken said the situation in Victoria was bad enough and the situation in Geelong was worse and he encouraged any members in the local area, or who could travel to attend in solidarity.
The Jobs for Geelong rally called by the Geelong Trades Hall Council will begin at 12.30pm Monday at Trades Hall, 127 Myers St, and march through the town centre to the waterfront.
